Done for now! I completed National Novel Writing Month 2022, my 11th writing marathon. I wrote 50,000 words toward On Every Street, a follow-up to The Zen Detective.

Of course, what I’ve got isn’t a complete novel. Entire chapters didn’t get written and some of what did get written is pure blather. But even the blather can be useful, can hint at what the Muse had in mind. For example, a couple of characters who started as walk-ons did something unexpected and dramatic.

Anyhow, I know this will need much more work before it’s ready for you and I’m not worried. It’s a follow-up to The Zen Detective which took 10 years and 9 iterations to get it where it is today.
